What to Avoid?
AVOID German agents who want a retainer or fees of any kind, or are selling ‘consultations’. They are not making a living from agent’s fees. Agents will charge for the pianist at an audition and in some cases €15-20 to recoup audition venue costs but anything else, in the words of one longtime agent “A scam”.
