Agents comment that some singers who spent a couple of years studying remotely have forgotten what it’s like to fill a large space with sound and are inaudible in auditions. Some of it is purely physical. If you’re one of these you can remedy it by practicing in large spaces like churches or auditoriums. Some of it is mental: opera is a big, intense endeavor. Emotion, intention and sound must carry clearly to the last row in the rafters over and orchestra of perhaps 100! In the end opera singing is about thrilling people. Out sound must reach their ears and their souls. You can’t learn this in a small room with microphones. Now you must step up your game for real people and real spaces.
